Our SRC is supported by the School Well-Being Leader.
The group has two representatives from each class and two deputies. They meet weekly to discuss issues raised at class meetings, work in student action teams and to be involved in school decision making. Two older students were involved in writing the school site improvement plan to give a student perspective.
There are three student action teams. Each team has two middle years’ student leaders and a mix of year levels.
There is an Environment team. They have input into playground and grounds planning, help with gardening, work out on our school block and work with the Sustainability group.
There is a Special Events and Celebrations team. They help with assemblies, arrange for guest speakers to visit and help to promote casual days each term. The donations collected on casual days will go towards special projects organised by the SRC.
There is also a Playtime Activities team. They organise and lead activities at playtime for students. The activities include such things as basketball competitions, dance, skipping, craft, nature walks, kite flying, and indoor sports.
